Welcome to West Cork Psychology

Helping you live the life you want to live

Exciting changes are coming!

We are honoured to have become a trusted provider of assessments for individuals both near and far. Due to the significant growth of our service and the increasing volume of enquiries, we need to move to a larger premises. Additionally, as our catchment area now extends well beyond West Cork, we have decided to update our name to better reflect our reach.

With that in mind, I am delighted to share that we are relocating from Kinsale to Blackrock, Cork. We hope this new location will be more accessible for many of our clients. Alongside this move, we will gradually be rebranding as The Compass Clinic over the coming weeks. This website and our current contact details will remain the same until the launch of our brand new website in April 2025.

Thank you for your continued trust in our services. We look forward to welcoming you to our new space!

What We Offer

West Cork Psychology was founded by Dr Vicky Matthews, a doctoral-level trained Clinical Psychologist and Chartered Member of the Psychological Society of Ireland.

West Cork Psychology offers neuroaffirmative cognitive and ADHD assessments for children and adults. If you've wondered if ADHD explains your lifelong experiences, or the difficulties you notice your child experiencing, a neuroaffirmative assessment could offer clarity and a path forward. This approach recognises ADHD as a difference in brain wiring, not a disorder. It emphasises understanding your unique strengths and challenges while creating a personalized plan to help you thrive. A neuroaffirmative assessment creates a validating, empowering experience and offers strategies and support tailored to your neurodivergent needs, ultimately helping you live a more fulfilling and successful life.

We would be delighted to chat to you about whether we could be the right service to help you. Please do not hesitate to get in touch!
